Paint chipping out at the bottom of the hook!
Our Kitchenaid mixer works great but the problem is the paint chipping out at the bottom of the hook! A stainless steel dough hook for the 3.5 quart bowl should be available for customers.

Poor Quality!!
The paint is chipping on my dough hook after less than one year of light to moderate use. This is the hook that comes with the regular kitchen aid model and it's quality is disappointing. The paint that fell off was unknowingly eaten in, I am sure it is harmful to the body. I am so sad......

Poor coating
I have had my Kitchenaid stand mixer and attachments for a while now but only few months ago I started using the dough hook. I noticed my dough hook started chipping, I stopped using it because I was worried these pieces would get into the food. After reading many reviews there is a lot of complaints about this. Given is a pricy brand, it is disappointing that the quality is poor.

Didn’t even know it was possible!!
I’ve had my kitchenaid mixer for 15 years and the hook never had any chipping issues like other have said. It was working fine then all of a sudden while I was making bread it just snapped. I’m not sure which hook I would need but mine is the ultra power 300 watts.

Coating Chipping Off
I really LOVE my mixer and would highly recommend it but am super disappointed that my dough hook coating is all chipped after only a couple of years. I’d like to order a new one since I’m worried about it chipping more and ending up in the food but they’re out of stock. Help me Kitchen Aid!

Please develop stainless steel dough hooks!
I am returning my Pro 5 Plus stand mixer due to this chipping problem. I will only purchase it again, if KitchenAid develops stainless steel dough hooks for all models.

I LOVE my Kitchen Aid stand mixer and use it almost every day. It's well worth the money. But the hook's coating is chipping and parts of the coating end up in my pasta dough... pretty disgusting. I am surprised that such a high quality company isn't able to provide high quality parts.
