I love this beater!
I've had the coated flat beater for almost 10 years now. I bought it separate as my 6 qt. mixer came with the burnished one. I love using the coated beater. I use it at least once a week, and it goes in the dishwasher. After almost 10 years it still looks brand new. Not one chip.

Beater isn't the greatest
I kind of disappointed in the beater-flat. It has caused paint chips to go into my food and in result, I have had to throw out product because of it. My beater has been chipping a lot and unfortunately can not use my machine because of it. Very hesitant on buying a new one.

Enamel Paint chipping off flat beater
I have had my blender for just over 4 years and noticed the enamel is chipping off of the paddle. This is a very familiar defect according to other reviewers. Now my mixer is sadly unusable and i’m horrified that i may have fed my family paint.

Beater Peeling
Very unhappy about my newer Kitchen Aid mixer. The beater blade is peeling..large flakes at the top post...making it unusable. My old Kitchen Aid mixer's beater lasted for over 25 years with not a mark on it. I phoned the toll free number in Canada and they said they would charge me for the cost of the new beater as the warranty only covers such defects. Not happy!!!! What a bad company not standing behind the quality of their products. Do not buy!!

Poorly made
I have only used my mixer a handful of times and the paint has already chipped off the coated beater. I now can no longer use it as I don’t want paint in my food! Of course it’s not under warranty and it makes me upset I have to go and spend more money on a product that is already costly and should last after gentle hand washing!

My Flat Beater is also chipping. I got it last Christmas and am very disappointed that it is chipping already after a few uses.

Beater included in box does not fit on the mixer
I received a new stand mixer for Christmas and was thrilled until I went to use it. The flat beater included with the mixer does not have an opening large enough to fit on the mixer head. The other two attachments (Whip and dough hook) fit fine. The flat beater opening is too narrow and it cannot be attached!

Enamel Chipping
I purchased my stand mixer because of the great reviews. However the enamel is chipping off the beater. It started chipping within a few months. I need to replace it but don’t think this issue has been resolved. I now would be hesitant to recommend this product to anyone
