Rated 4 out of 5 by Patrick in Canada from Mostly great, but… Overall, a great machine that’s a step up from a Breville Barista Express. Beautiful looking, quiet running, consistent and has a fantastic steam wand. The only strike against it is that the product on-boarding process is uneven such that I was left wondering if it had been fully thought through. Vague setup instructions in the manual made worse by what happens if you accidentally put the machine into cleaning mode. Unclear how to order more water filters, as this new model is still missing from the relevant webpage. Same issue applies for the page meant to show you where to find product serial numbers.These are easily fixable issues. Hope that Kitchenaid reads this and acts promptly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Forced-to-make-nickname from Leaky Tank I have now had 2 of these machines, both of which have had significant issues with water tank leakage despite trouble shooting. I am so disappointed because I really like the look of this machine and it makes excellent coffee but it's unusable at this point because every time I fill the tank, I am left with a massive puddle of water on the counter which has destroyed cook books etc that were mistakenly left near the machine

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jzn94 from Horrible after purchase service Bought only for 6 months, normal brewing process started to have a constant sound. Your rep told me to send a video proof which i did. They denied the problem and told me it is normal when she does not even own the product herself. Worst customer service and warranty is useless since your rep denied my problem. Clearly customer service is not your priority after this 500 dollar purchase. It was the first and last purchase and i will be discouraging anyone from considering your brand.

Bought this to replace a cheaper espresso maker and it came with a broken water filter handle right out of the box. I contacted kitchen aide and they said parts were not yet available as it's a new unit. Expect a 3 week wait, it's been almost double that now and no part. The machine is well, built and easy to use although I am now having some trouble with espresso dribbling out of the 2 spouts inconsistently. It starts good but as it gets midway the dual streams start to wander an sometimes miss the cup.

After a month of daily usage, we are impressed with the thoughtfulness in design, which makes this machine easy to use and maintain in addition to producing excellent espresso! Like any espresso machine, this takes practice to dial in the dosage and grind size to extract the perfect shot, but KitchenAid makes this process clear and intuitive. We would definitely recommend this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Doug The Slug from Incredible New Machine I am really loving the new semi automatic espresso machine. I have used other brands in the past and like this one quite a bit more than others. The grinder is SUPER quiet and doesn’t scatter grounds across my counter, they also are nice and fine - not clumped together. I found it quite simple to dial in the right settings for my coffee and get the extraction in the target range. I like that you can easily change temperatures and adjust the water volume for the hot water output.

The pressure gauge has never worked. The coffee grinder works well but I can't even get the lights to work for choosing 2 shots or the temperature. I'm very disappointed. I've used kitchen aid appliances for years. This one is bad.

There have been various problems, from excess leakage to insufficient grounds to inconsistent draw to malfunctioning pressure gauge. While we would like a machine that consistently produces excellent espresso, we are very happy with the coffee when it's working. Hoping that the third time's the charm!
