Oven shows a temperature but it wont hold thereSelected this unit for our new home and have used it for almost 14 months. From day one we could never understand why cookies and pies were not baking properly. Today with the setting at 300 the baking items were not browning properly. Turned off the stove and turned it on again to 300 and it came up with a start temperature of 250! The setting never varied from 300 yet it was 50 degrees cooler. This thing obviously never held its heat from day one but you wouldn't know unless you did this to check it. 2 months off warranty. Not happy.

Catastrophic Self-Cleaning FunctionUpon first use of the self-cleaning function, my oven shut down and was broken. The repair total was $204.17, which was not covered under manufacturer warranty. The manual did not warn that use of the self-cleaning cycle could catastrophically break your oven. I would not purchase this oven again, nor do I recommend any KitchenAid appliances. The advertised self-cleaning "feature" should be removed, and a warning should be attached to that product functionality.

Baking not goodI bought this product for my new house and since then i am trying to understand what is the better way to bake in this oven. Looking like a rocket science. I have owned many ovens in the past, cheap to expensive ones and baking chicken used to take 18 to 20 mins at 420 degrees F but this one takes about 25 mins and yet feel like outside part is not properly baked. Is there a trick to bake the chicken. Very disappointed with such an expensive oven. Even a cheap countertop over from Walmart would have baked better than this.

Terrible productThis oven did not work properly when it was delivered and installed. A heating element had to be replaced straight out of the factory. 14 months later a second heating element failed and had to be replaced. We waited 16 days for the part to be replaced. Totally unacceptable for a brand new appliance from KitchenAid.

Not sureWe picked this oven out to be put in our new home being built because I have had kitchenaid before and considered it a great product. However, the quality of this one v/s my last one is not as good. It is noisy and the convection selection comes on even when I don't choose it. Sorry, but I am seriously disappointed in this oven.

Looks good....and it stops there.Had this wall oven for 3 months. Had to have tech come out twice since oven lost power both times.
The worst customer experience I've ever had in dealing with a business. It was purchased at Lowes and they deflect any responsibility & pass it onto the Manufacturer. When you call KitchenAid I experienced the following:
- Sitting on hold for more than 45 mins (3 different times & disconnected on two of those occasions) & never make contact on the third.
- Forced to use their live chat to convey the issues, and that ends up going nowhere.
- When you finally get a hold of someone they're just following a script, and can't think for them selves, or offer any relevant solutions (usually recommending you to contact another number or department).
- I called at 6pm EST on a Thursday Nov 26 and received "we're now closed for the day" reply even though their website indicates you can call between 9am-7pm Est (Wed-Fri).
How difficult is it to keep a customer informed on what's going on? How about providing an ETA on spare parts, relaying issues in sourcing parts, etc? A little communication goes a long way, and I most likely would have been more reasonable and understanding than having to write a bad review.
This oven will be returned, and poor experience will be shared with all via Social Media.
BE BETTER KITCHENAID/WHIRLPOOL!!!!!!!

horribleWe bought this 6 months ago. We have had it repaired 3 times and had visits from the service dept 5 times. Whirlpool has FINALLY decided to rebate the money to the store we bought it from, and let us purchase another product. I refuse to buy another kitchen aid oven and unfortunately all of my new appliances are kitchen aid. The oven has been making a noise that sounds like a lawnmower for months (not an exaggeration) and Whirlpool (the manufacturer) was impossible to deal with. According to the warranty they must replace the item if there have been 3 repairs. They had the audacity to ask for another company to assess it after we had the motor and the fan replaced on 2 occasions. The problem has never been actually diagnosed, but both appliance companies agreed it could not be fixed. We had to wait online with call centres for hours and never achieved satisfaction. Don't buy anything from Whirlpool and stay away from kitchen aid!

Takes for ever to preheat!We bought a new apartment which came with this beautiful KitchenAid blue oven. We were excited as we had KitchenAid ovens in our previous house and were very happy with them. However this one presents two issues:
1 - it takes for ever to pre heat - I measured 20 minutes to get to 300F, and 30 minutes to get to 425F - which appears extremely long to us. Our smaller ovens used to preheat in only 10 minutes to 450F.
2 - the temperature does not seem to hold - like other reviewers, I found that if I cancel a bake say at 350 and restart it, the temperature it shows at restart is more like 285.
We called an appliance repair person who said that the oven was functioning as designed, and that this was resulting from the oven not having a bottom heating element. Is that correct??

Simple basic wall ovenI purchased the unit one month ago. Delivery and installation was fast and easy. Oven was selected to replace an old KitchenAid oven so it was critical that the new oven was the correct size and depth.

Does all that an oven should do.The oven distributes the heat evenly. Makes for great baking and everything works as it should.
