Great Product, Perfect Size ---> Read BelowWe ran into a very unusual situation. We were very used to having a much larger refrigerator at our prior home. When we purchased our new home we two options: 1. Find a fridge that fit our space (next to impossible) and 2. Make the opening of the built-in area larger. We chose to try and find the right size fridge that would fit the current opening. This project took quite a while and was VERY resourceful. I finally came across the KitchenAid and it fits perfectly. We had specific desires as well, including water in the fridge with filtration which this fridge provided. Kudos to KitchenAid for making a product that no one else has! Thanks!

Failed after 3 weeks - and no repair service avail 1 week!!Thought i did my research and ordered this - took 10 days to get it. Replaced my 20 year old refrigerator and oven with Kitchen Aid appliances. On Thanksgiving - 3 weeks after purchasing - it was found warm/thawed and control would not work. Food spoiled for 10 people for dinner. Called customer service to please come and check/fix and they cannot come for one week! Unbelievable for a new refrigerator and even worse that it won't even get checked for another week. Unfortunately my 20 year old working refrig was hauled off when I purchased this one. Will not buy or recommend kitchenaid to anyone again.

Good fridge but pretty bare bonesBought this fridge because I've have issues with external water and ice dispensers. In terms of water, ice, keeping food cold, noise, external feel and finish it's 10/10. But it inside it feels unfinished. There exposed plastic components related to the water dispenser inside the fridge that we wrapped in styrofoam and tape which make it look really cheap inside. The temperature is only in Fahrenheit and is a very cheap plastic display inside the fridge. Filter has a cheap flimsy feel to it. Freezer has a cheap wire basket as the drawer. Overall, for the price I'm not disappointed but I'm not impressed. Good fridge but nothing special.

Unhappy Customer from
Buyer BewareI bought this model 4 months ago. I loved the design and overall dimensions. However, it has never properly worked since it was delivered to my house. The freezer constantly freezes over. The light gets frozen in the freezer and will not come on when the door is opened. I have had four different service visits. The problem is still not fixed. Buyers beware. Do not purchase this product. KitchenAid simply wants to continue to "service" this lemon refrigerator instead of replacing it. Very unhappy with not only this product, but also KitchenAid customer service period...

Great refrigerator! We purchased our new fridge 3 months ago. So far, it has proved itself to be an excellent purchase. As a short person, I am able to reach all the shelves. Because it is wider and less deep (counter depth) it is easy to see what is in the fridge, no more lost science projects! The large shelf at the bottom of the fresh food section is nice for large items but since we keep the meat, bread and cheese in there, it would be nice to open just one side. Both doors need to be open to access this drawer. There should be a way to make this a versatile, two way or single drawer. The bottom mount freezer is also a feature we like. We certainly like our new fridge.

Black Stainless - EleganceI bought this Fridge about 7 months ago, but had to wait about 6 months before finally getting it installed. Our family loves this fridge, it’s not loud (except when the Ice falls into the tray, but that’s not really a big deal). The colour is really nice; I think I preferred the Kitchenaid Matte black a bit more, but am not disappointed at all with this one. The only downfall with the fridge is that the shelves have about 1” – 1.5” gap from the back of the fridge. Kitchenaid should’ve really made the shelves closer to the back so you can fit more things in this fridge, especially since it is counter depth.

BewareIcemaker makes 8 pieces of ice about every hour and a half. Took 2 days to get the ice bin half full. Never improved. Also, what's with crisper bins having fancy sliding humidifier settings when the bins themselves hang open a half inch at the top, even when pushed in as far as possible? Yes, the frig is very pretty and the interior water feature worked well but neither makes up for the fact that the appliance doesn't work properly. The seller sent technicians to inspect/fix it but they agreed it was a lemon so it returned. Shame on you Kitchen Aid. I then opted for a Kenmore Elite.

Don't waste your money -- zero durabilityDoor gasket cracked on both sides of the fridge french doors and Kitchen Aid will not replace defective part.
Contacted for warranty support but it is not covered. ~ $400 for two door gaskets and $160 for service repair. So needs a $560 repair in under 3 years of light use.
Disappointed in Kitchenaid customer support. This gasket was clearly defective and I believe they should at least cover the cost of the replacement part.
Another issue with the fridge is that anything at the back of the fridge freezes, while the rest of the fridge stays the correct temp. I have adjusted to this, but it is still an inconvenience.

Great RefrigeratorThis is our second Kitchen Aid refrigerator. The first one is a 20 year old side by side and is still going strong. I keep a refrigerator in my work shop for refreshments and the one that was there died so we decided to upgrade our kitchen unit to a newer model and move the side by side into the work shop. We now have all stainless appliances in our kitchen and the new unit looks great and is working great. We really like the new unit's door arrangement and space functionality. We did a lot of research of every brand on the market and reading reviews on all for over a month before deciding on the brand and model to purchase. We couldn't be happier with or decision to buy another Kitchen Aid. We love it so far.

Interior design not as versatile as I first thought.I should have taken more time playing with the model in the store. The sales person was very good at what he does, sell.
My understanding was the french doors should allow you to save energy by only having to open one door at a time. However, the bottom cold meat drawer is the whole width of the fridge so you have to have both doors open for that, which gets used quite a lot. Also, should have realized that, due to the 30 inch width of the model we bought, you also cannot open the larger vegetable bin without having both doors open. Anyway, disappointed that I listened too much to what the sales person was telling me and didn't notice these deficiencies.
