Great FeaturesI am really enjoying the convenience of this refrigerator. With the built in water and ice dispenser and water filter, I do not need a Brita filter or ice cube trays. The pullout freezer on the bottom makes it easier to access items and has a lot of storage compared to our old fridge.

Nice fridge but very noisyWe bought this fridge last month to replace a 3 year old side by side KitchenAid that kept frosting up and not cooling. An appliance repairman said that the circuit board needed to be replaced, which we did, only to have it start frosting up again 2 months later. We decided to stay with the KitchenAid brand to match our other appliances. This fridge is nice looking and very spacious. We don't need a large freezer so it works out well for us. The biggest concern I have is the constant buzzing noise. The other one was definitely not as loud as this one. Still wondering if this is normal?

Counter depth fridgeWe bought this about 6 months ago after getting tired of our old fridge by another competitor falling apart. We were looking for shelves that wouldn't crack, bend and fall apart. So far, so good. With counter depth not as much room, but we expected that.

Kitchenaid's BEST should work betterWe renovated our kitchen three years ago purchasing all top kitchenaid appliances. Our fridge - this fridge has recently been giving us issues- the mullion needed to be replaced as there was continuous leaking under the pantry drawer( one directly above freezer compartment). the leaking did not stop with the mullion replacement. ice built up behind this pantry drawer. Now we have little to none ice production and the temperature of the fridge while it says 37, it is cold , but not COLD. Very discouraged with Kitchenaid. While the kitchen looks great, I'd opt for a better performing refridgerator for the high price we paid.

Do not buy if you want ice and a nice finishWe have a family of 5, and our kitchen only supports a counter depth fridge. If you need max capacity and counter depth, this is the fridge for you. that being said, we have had nothing but issues with the ice machine.
The fridge was delivered, with the ice machine not working. Called Kitchen Aid, they set up service and 3 weeks later the ice machine was fixed. It is now broke again 6 months later, it is broken again. Service has been to the fridge twice and after 2 months, it is still not repaired. The ice maker has spent more time on the top of my fridge, than inside it, making ice.
The finish is also not holding up, as you can tell in the pictures, the stainless steel is stained. We cannot get these spots out, that appeared after the service technician took the fridge apart.
Great storage capacity and nice interior finish.... service has been garbage, to go along with the garbage ice maker.
If we didn't have these issues, i would rate a 5 out of 5

Beautiful fridge but two bad problemsI recieved this fridge on feb 9, 2020. Started using it the next day, love the looks and what it does but there is a earpiercing whine that comes from the compressor when it runs in high mode for several minutes, have a herd time sitting in the kitchen then, also the ice maker freezes the ice in globs so you have to chip it out. if they can cure these issues they will have a fantastic appliance. It would move me to a five for it everywhere.

Buyer's Remorse from
INEFFICIENT DESIGNI bought the KRFC704FSS00 in 2017 and have regretted buying a french door version--particularly this model--ever since. It seemed to meet my storage needs when I was envisioning the placement of my foodstuffs; however, I couldn't find this fridge to view in person anywhere, so what I didn't realize was how the location of the filter and the impractical rollout and temp controlled drawers significantly compromised valuable shelving height. I thought having wider shelving vs side x side shelving would make storage way better, but because of the height loss, it's actually worse. Storing all foods is an arduous challenge; even when the heights are adjusted. The low height of the shelving prohibits full use of the space, because it restricts height of jars, storage containers, foods, etc. and you have to engineer where you'll place your foods. All this while cramming larger food containers onto the one single highest shelf you can get. Other french door fridges I saw did have superior shelving space, but I brand or model notwithstanding, I regret I didn't just buy a side x side again. The freezer is really small, and the pointless glass roll out tray and fixed dividers just add to wasting this valuable space. The water dispenser and ice maker shut off have been defective since day, with the favorite fill and measured fill needing to be reset every 2 wks to maintain correct volume fill. It's progressively gotten worse, where it halts mid stream during the dispensing of the favorite & measured fills and takes multiple hits of the dispense button to finally fill to the correct volume. The ice maker overflows and the motor continues to attempt to drop ice despite being crammed full to the very top of the bin. I've dealt with that issue by shutting the ice maker off after filling, since on or off the tiny cubes become compacted into one massive lump when the bin is full. This is despite dispensing a lot of ice daily! Utterly stupid design, and I never had this problem with my old Kitchenaid fridge that dispensed larger wedge cubes. The bin's even gotten frozen jammed several times and was impossible to release from the housing, so I have to use an ice pick to break up the icebergs that develop. I've not had any issues with cooling, thankfully, but I'm not even remotely kidding when I say I've grown to hate this fridge and I'd sell it in a heartbeat if I wasn't intending to move in a few years. I'll get a side by side when that time comes. My fridge issues aside, I don't recommend this model, because there's other brands of a french door style with superior interior space.
