Kitchen Aid appliancesI bought all Kitchen Aid Appliances for my new house, the KitchenAid - 30" Wall-Mount, 3-Speed Canopy Hood was first bought in March 2020, motor burnt in 6 months and after 5 months of back and forth, I got my hood replaced...will see how long this one last.
For Refrigerator, Model #: KRSC703HPS, the freeze has balancing issue, the new door was ordered by Whirlpool, still on back order...lets see when it will get fixed.
For Stove, Model #: KSGB900ESS, front two burners have issues from beginning, fixed at least 6 times, no resolution so far...I am hoping if the issue is not fixed in 6 visits, Whirlpool should offer replacement of stove too.
Too many issues with all the appliances bought for my new house, we paid extra to get better quality but it's not the case for us as all appliances have major issues.

Product looks good and we are pleased with it.We bought this just before Christmas, and it has just been installed. It looks great and appears to be working as designed, although we haven't tested the auto fan feature as kitchen is under reno. Please update design so that there are multiple LED light intensities, the warming light is also a LED, and the Control Panel display has low intensity backlighting. The delivery area of your system needs to be updated and managed better by the delivery company(s) to reflect that clients need to know what stage a delivery is at with them, and that no one should update the system to indicate that an item has been delivered before a client has been contacted for delivery date/time AND before the delivery has occurred.

Stay Away from KitchenAidUnit was defective out of the box and they would not replace the unit. It took a service call for them to tell me they have to order the replacement motor and it would take an additional week and another service call to repair. I will never buy Kitchen Aid again. I am also experiencing an issue with my new range too. Very disappointing. If you are contemplating getting KitchenAid appliances I would highly recommend against it.

Way too easy to scratch. As the title says. As a contractor I have installed hundreds of range hoods and this is by far the least forgiving finish, even for very careful installers.

Garbage; could not be more disappointedBought this new in November. Had it installed. Due to manufacturing problem (exposed electrical against metal inside hood), it caused an electrical fire internally on first start up. Told we had to go through warranty process and couldn’t return. We did, and it took us until April to get parts and service. Now, it is allegedly all fixed. But, it has essentially no sucking power at all. It doesn’t hold a piece of paper towel against the vent even on the highest boost setting. But, if we remove the bottom deflector plate (open the bottom) then we get enough sucking power to hold a paper towel ok the high setting. Which, according to kitchen aid is all that can be expected, and therefore it has no issues. It is garbage. I will be posting a review of this on YouTube for those that would like to see this in action (or rather the lack of action).

Good fan as advertised.WE have had this 30 inch wall mount canapy hood for a year now, and it works very well as advertised.
The only problem we find most difficult with this unit is the control panel. If there is not a light on in the kitchen you cant see the control panel to see what function to use.
We have a lot of windows in our home that let in natural light, but still are unable to see the panel..
Would be great if the display was able to illuminate by tapping the range hood or have the function display easier to see when wamting to choose a function..
Even in the evening, a person may want to choose the light function on the fan unit, a person has to turn on the kitchen lights to make this selection.
Not a great design and should be adressed.
Thanks

Clean lines - but noisy! This time around we opted to go with a KitchenAid range hood, to go with the rest of our KitchenAid appliances. It is sleek with clean lines, modern, and easy to clean, although we haven't had to clean the filters out yet, but they are easy to remove and put back. The lights are very nice, especially the night light at the back of the unit, if you just want to leave one light on. The downfall is that it's noisy... and that's on low. So much so, that often my husband just turns it off, which defeats the purchase of having a range hood!

Does not work with inductionThis unit has a automatic shutoff feature that senses heat from the cooktop and turns the unit off after a few minutes if no heat is detected. We have an induction cooktop, which of course does not radiate heat itself but heats pots through induction. Even if we had two or three large pots going on the cooktop, the fan would turn off. There is no way to bypass the shut off. We asked the salesperson and Whirlpool customer service if there was any problem with induction before installing the unit. None of the marketing material, the salespeople at the appliance store, nor Whirlpool customer service were aware of this design flaw. And of course you can't return these appliances once they're out of the box, although the retailer where we purchased it did reluctantly take it back after we paid a hefty restocking fee.
Other issues which should convince you to avoid this product:
- Whirlpool customer service is completely useless. I contacted them for ducting requirements before installing the unit. All they would do is to refer me to a local installer. However, the installer would only tell me that they "don't do ducting", although they would be happy to charge me $200 to hang the unit on the wall as long as the ducting is already in place.
- The unit is very clumsy to hang compared to the Venmar hood I replaced it with. The hanging screws are located in the motor housing which is made of very cheap and flimsy sheet metal. The Venmar, on the other hand, provided a proper hanging bracket that is much easier to position and install, and is also much more stable and reliable.
