Looks and Works Great!!!Recently renovated our kitchen, prior to this renovation we had all Kitchenaid appliance and had a great experience with the for 16 years, we decided to purchase new appliance to go with our remodel and we decided to go with Kitchenaid again for all our appliances. This time we are trying the 36" Induction Cooktop - unbelievable how fast this cooktop can bring water to a boil - we love it!!!. It arrived fast and was easily installed - works and looks amazing - now if we could only get our Kitchenaid dishwasher to arrive, we ordered that the same time (July 2021) and still don't have it. We can't wait to get to have our Kitchenaid Kitchen completed.

Love this cook topWe thought we wanted gas but with you g kids building our dream kitchen changed slightly. However I have no regrets buying this cooktop. Nothing burns on to it like electric cook tops. I don’t have to remove grills and clean little parts like I would if I had gas and my kids can’t turn it on if it’s locked. But even if they do it won’t do anything unless there is a pot on the cooktop. This gives us peace of mind! Now as for cooking I have no regrets getting this over gas. It heats up so quickly. We love it.

Zero StarsMy new kitchen is 100% equipped with KitchenAid appliances. `The induction cooktop is barely beyond 4 years old and has required 2 major repairs that more than double the price of the original unit. One buys kitchen appliances with the expectation they will LAST. When my range works, I love it, but this is inexcusably terrible quality for a purchase that should last a decade at minimum. What's worse, replacing this unit is complicated by the fact that a new range may not fit the cut out in my fancy stone countertop. I cannot adequately express how much I regret this purchase.

I had high hopesI had high hopes and expectations for the new state of the art cooktop I had purchased. It certainly is very nice looking and looks stunning in our new kitchen. However, I was shocked when just 2 weeks after installation 2 of the burners stopped working. I had an error message on it and decided to call Kitchenaid. We had a technician come to the house and in the midst of trying to fix the problem, a 3rd burner stopped working. Replacement parts were ordered and the tech came back and forth another 4 times! I was losing hope for our cooktop which was not cheap! After the 5th service call and umpteen parts later it is now working. Fingers crossed that further problems won't arise as at this point I lost all faith in the brand.

Nice stuff from
Very dispointed purchaseWe bought this model to replace our old KitchenAid cooktop less than one year ago, currently we are waiting for the parts to repair it, but do not how long we need to wait, this is the 3rd time repair within one year (the cumulative time cannot use this cooktop within one year is about 2 months). We used to be very proud of our appliances being KitchenAid, but not anymore. When I was calling the representative about a solution, the representative answered me very calm " for the time being, we will provide our support continually", what a nice answer!

Worst customer service experience and fake rebatesI bought this induction cooktop in February and seller who seemed so nice to me suggested to go with this product because the was a credible rebate on it: 100$ visa carte and 10 pieces induction cookware. I called the number given by the seller to register and claim the offer. I spoke to a customer service representative named Markisha who seemed so nice on the phone and asked to send pictures of the coupons what I did for the 100$ Visa card. The 10 pc cookware offer I should just register my product to receive them. No thing happened and Markisha started to change story after story to justify why I couldn’t get any of the rebates. Here is the picture send to Markisha that she claimed invisible! I am now preparing a lawsuit against the company.

My cooktop is cookedThis cooktop is great because the top itself doesn't heat up, thus sloppy Chiefs can spill food all over it and it doesn't crust on! Yay! You can also put your hand on the element and not burn yourself(like people are doing that all the time.
It does heat up quickly after you restock all your cabinets with pots that are compatible with it.
The controls are not very user friendly. Quite often it's hard to get the exact setting you want with the unmarked touch range control.
Now, the thing is completely dead. Won't power up. The circuit to it is fine. I took it apart to find what looks like the inside of a fighter jet or some super computer...
I did actually find a blown fuse....spent the afternoon finding the obscure fuse...replaced it and it blew again....
Are we really getting ahead with all this technology that we really don't understand?
Hopefully it can be repaired by a technician that I've called but chances are they don't work on or don't know anything about these things either.
Guess I'll go gather some wood and cook over an open fire and least I know that's straightforward and reliable.
Btw, I've called the help line and in the mean time I decided to look up any troubleshooting tips online, ended up here and have been on hold for as long as it's taken me to write this review, so far....

I won't recommend this to my friendsMy cooktop broke in 1.5 year just a little bit outside of the warranty. So had to pay for the labor. I also noticed when I had centro burner and front right burner turned on at the same time. The power for the front right burner was like charge to the highest level then went down and again charge to the highest level then went down. The power won't hold on its highest level. I asked the question to one of the technician who came to fix my cooktop. He claimed it was normal for induction cooktop to behave like that. Disappointing.

Unreliable productsPurchased this with an entire suite of products: Fridge, double oven, vent, dishwasher, wine cooler. All have had problems and needed repairs.
This cooktop was defective and had to have a circuit board replaced after 3 months of use. The technician suggested that it might be best to extend the warranty. Of course this cost almost as much as the unit itself. Kitchen aid should stand behind their products and automatically extend warranty if they build lemons.
Regret ever buying this brand. Avoid them.

Great invention!Very simple that my 13 and 10 year old girls can use it. Love the features, safety and cooking results. Read the book and it's even better to use. Cleans up nice without all those cleaners.
