Pure Power Blender Peanut Butter

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (300 grams) dry roasted, salted peanuts, plus additional if crunchy texture desired
  • 1 tablespoon (15 grams) neutral oil

Special Equipment:

KitchenAid® Pure Power Blender, spatula

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Yield: 1 cup peanut butter

Instructions

Add peanuts and oil to Pure Power Blender. Turn to glide the Precision Speed Control Knob between Speeds 1 and 2 and blend, stopping blender to scrape and move peanuts back toward blender blades, repeating this as much as needed until peanuts are finely chopped and warm. At this point they will come together into a cohesive butter. Turn speed knob to Speed 5 and continue blending for 1-2 minutes, for a smooth and creamy texture. Add in additional nuts if crunchy peanut butter is desired and pulse once or twice to chop into mixture. Pour into storage container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.

PRO TIP

Add honey or maple syrup for sweetness. Using the steps above, almost any nut or seed can be made into a butter. Try pecan, pistachio or hazelnut. Add ½ teaspoon of salt if using unsalted nuts or seeds.
