Automatically set the right heat for different techniques and stages of cooking, taking the guesswork out of choosing settings.

Power Boost Function

sets the highest heat for rapid boiling, bringing three quarts of water to a boil on average nearly twice as fast as our gas cooktop.* After five minutes, the heat automatically adjusts to keep water at a rolling boil. *3000W induction element set to Power Boost compared to KitchenAid® 10,000 BTU gas burner.

Touch-Activated Controls

For assisted cooking modes, auto presets and numerical power settings are simple to use. The seamless design is also easy to clean.

Additional Features

Pan Size Detection

Recognizes the size and placement of cookware to generate heat directly within the pan. An indicator light and sound will alert you if you turn the cooktop on without a pan on the selected element or if your pan is not compatible with induction cooking.

Control Lock

Helps prevent unintended use and makes it easier to clean the control panel.

Frameless Design

Allows flush installation for a seamless look or standard installation to fit an existing cooktop cutout.

Requires Induction-Compatible Cookware

Such as multi-ply stainless steel, enamelled steel or cast iron. Aluminum and copper cookware will not work unless it has a base made of iron or steel. Look for pans marked "Works with Induction" or test to see if a magnet will stick to the bottom.

I was sceptical initially but now that I am using the cooktop, I love it. I find it easy to use and clean no matter how messy it becomes. Quick to heat up similar to a gas stove and quick to cool down too. The auto features work great too.

Recently needed to replace my old wall oven that died, so also went with a new cooktop. Since we got a KitchenAid wall oven, decided to go with the KitchenAid induction cooktop. So HAPPY that I did!! The heat adjusts SO MUCH BETTER than on my old cooktop, plus with 5 elements there is lots of room for all my pots… I do ALOT of cooking. Also cleans easily and I LOVE that if I forget to switch off an element, the cooktop does it for me! Thanks again KitchenAid for another great product.

Bought this unit as a replacement and chose it because of a few features that were missing on the broken unit. Like the steel edge to it (our glass chipped on the old unit),and the auto simmer and boil feature. Thought we’d really like the additional fifth burner. Most 30” units don’t have a fifth burner especially in this price range. Unfortunately you can’t get two large-medium sized pots to fit well. Overall a very nice cooktop with great styling!!

Unfortunately, my cooktop has had an error code on one of the burners since it was installed. A technician came to repair it, but unfortunately the error code came back. I was told I had to wait about 3 weeks before for a new board to be installed. I am a little disappointed as this is a brand new cooktop that was defective from installation and cannot use the burner. Hope to have it in working order soon. I would have given this review a 5 star if I did not have this problem!
