Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good, but mostly bad Hello, well first the good. This stove can boil a quart of water in 90 seconds.. I did not believe it at first but tried it and yes.. it did. And now the problems, Mostly it is a bad design 1) The controls for the cook top. are about an inch away from the cook surface. Now heat is not a problem. but any spill is. Here is why. This glass touch control, will go into a safety mode if it senses anything on top of it. So if you take a tray of cookies out of the oven and place it on top of the stove.. I will turn off all the elements, and then beep at you until you remove it.. It will also do this if there is any liquid on the surface. Which must be dried up before the cook top can be restarted. The first time I used this stove I boiled up some eggs. when you do this.. there is a very small amount of spatter as would happen with any egg boil. However if the control is so close to the element, that the spatter gets onto the controls and the entire cook top shuts down and begins to beep 2) When you are using the upper broiler, there is no indication of the temperature, you can set it for a temp, and then the only indication of the temp is when it is at the set temp by a beep. This feature would be nice because sometimes you say set it for 400'F and when you see it at 380'F .. you throw your what ever in 3) There is a timer that is associated with the cook top control panel.. the panel that is the troublesome one in the middle of the cook top, at the front. It is just that. a egg timer.. it does not control anything. It would be nice if it controlled the elements 4) The metal surface on the front edge of the cook top is very very soft metal.. (What they now call, smudge free Stainless) it is so soft that after a few months of sliding pots and pans on it.. it is very badly scratched (See photo) 5) When you set the timer on the oven, and it has reached zero.. it will beep until , well until forever. until you open the door and close the door. The incessant beeping of this range is very annoying 6) The vent for the ovens is blowing right on the cooktop, staining it every single time you use the oven 7) The self cleaning feature on the stoves are unsuccessful in the two times I have tried it

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What's up with the cooling cycle? We had this installed yesterday and have been testing it out. Really liking the induction part. The oven though…However, after completing the first bake in the top oven, which was fine after some initial outgassing, we were shocked to find that the cooling fan was still running after dinner, over an hour later, and the oven still appeared quite hot.The troubleshooting section of the manual has nothing to say about this. I am pretty sure that the oven heaters are still operating even in the cooldown cycle, which makes it take incredibly long to cool down. We are still experimenting with this to try to figure out what is going on and will probably have a visit from a service tech. If someone from Kitchenaid can tell us if this is normal, then we’ll at least know that the cooldown is a design issue and not a flaw. I do see that quite a few other people are reporting very long cooldown times with the loud fan running. Will be happy to update my review, if possible, once we are sure our oven is working properly or not. Assuming this is the way it’s supposed to be, then the very long, inefficient cooldown is definitely a big drawback, especially if you’re spending much time in the kitchen (fan noise). At the very least it should also be written into the user manual so that people know what to expect here. Because this behavior was NOT expected and we’re still not sure if it is working right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool Stove We recently bought this stove and were a little unsure about the "induction" feature. We really like the shorter cooking times, the clean lines of the stove, the ovens are excellent. Like the blue interiors, we can see our food with the lights on! My lst stove had black ovens and even with the lights on...impossible to see dinner cooking. It has been a happy buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same benefit as gas. we have owned this oven range for a little over a year now and have no regrets we were tired of the old electric range issues from slow heat up time to inconsistent cooking because of pulsating power and slow cool down time so you have to find another spot on the range to move your pan too to avoid overcooking. We were going to have a gas line installed and move to a gas stove to avoid all these problems until we came across this range and have never looked back my wife is always happy with the performance because you get all the benefits of gas with no flame. The safety features on this range would make it great for people with kids (ours are grown up) even if you boil over any liquid by accident the range shuts down until you clean it up which is easy to clean as it is a glass top. When you shut the burner off it only takes a few seconds for the cooking to stop, the only thing you need to make sure you have is a good set of "steel pots" or "induction cookware" or it will not work with aluminum etc. it needs a good electrical conductor to transfer the energy directly to the cookware, but if you have that your good to go. The added bonus is the dual ovens as we found on a day to day basis we only needed to use the top smaller oven most of the time which saves on always heating up a full size oven, all in all we're very happy with it would buy another one in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Induction Stove My new stove arrived on Valentine's Day and has continued to surprise me with the immediate up and down temperature control for the stove top. It is my first experience with induction and makes me wonder why I waited so long. I also like the two ovens. The exhaust fan does run a long time after the oven is turned off, just as previous reviews have mentioned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kitchen Aid Induction Stove We are very impressed with our new stove. We replaced a gas stove and we are much happier with this one. Boils in minutes and we use the two ovens often. I would strongly recommend this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No complaints with my new oven Great oven! My only complaint is with the promotion that came with it. There was a promotion with the oven, you receive new pots and pans made for the induction stovetop. Only problem is you can’t order them until your stove is delivered. Good thing I have some pots that will work on the induction stovetop. Otherwise not sure how I could have cooked Christmas dinner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Induction cooking is the best way to cook You will need a timer for this range. If you cook with a timer this stove is not for you. It beeps ONCE! if your house is noisy or your running around doing choirs you will need to use your smart phone. I hope Kitchen Aide addresses this with a free service tech visit to update the firmware. It would be more beneficial if it chimed for 30 or 60 seconds. The controls for the stovetop are too easy to change. If you have a spill that you try to wipe or if tiny fingers touch the panel you can easily change the temperature while cooking. Having 2 separate ovens is great. Why the loud noisy fan to cool it down? Why is this a feature or a need?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oven Can’t Wait It’s been a week since we got the new range and it was definitely worth every penny. Still can’t get over the fact that the stovetop is QUICK and so easy to clean.
