Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slow to heat up and glass top scratches easily It takes forever to preheat the oven. My old oven even had a cracked glass window and it heated up in half the time. The burners also take really long to boil a liter of water (10 minutes+). The glass top scratches very easily. My old oven had a glass top and we had it for 20 years with barely any noticeable scratches. This one is only a few months old and it already shows signs of wear on the cooktop. Very unsatisfied with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy this again I am generally happy with my stove. I like the different choice of the ring sizes. The stainless steel is very easy to get finger prints on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too long to heat oven I just received my slide-in, as well as the balance of my Kitchen-Aid appliances. I tested the oven and was very surprised and disappointed with how long it took the temperature to reach 350F.. It was about 15min.. That's enough time to bake muffins!.. My old Kenmore took 5 minutes. I can't imagine when more heat is required! This is way too long for family's that are already pressed for time and have to add this additional time factor before they can get their meals on the table!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Efficient but... Since appliance was bought a couple of years ago, had to make a few service calls because error messages were appearing on the display panel which rendered appliance useless. According to the technician, these were known issues by company. That being said, issues were resolved (thanks to the extended warranty). Appliance performs well...but annoyed that appliance is sold to the public with known issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love this product. It cooks evenly all round. The product is great. It meets our requirement. However, it suppose to come with a temperature control which was missing. We informed the retailer but no response yet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slide in stove I really like the design and look of this stove. If I could change anything it would be to have a self cleaning feature.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leave it at the store; do not take it home!!! I was very pleased with the looks ; unfortunately I did NOT look at the reviews. After a short while a fault code F8E0 came on and the stove stopped working. After 45 days we are still waiting to be fixed. The insurance company EnsureAll part of the VCG group are trying to find the module and we have NO STOVE!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only don't buy it I bought it 1 year ago and and from the beginning cleaning of its cooktop glass was so difficult. I tried different ways that I learnt through the Internet, but non of them worked and and after one month many scratches and stains appeared that it is not possible to clean. Another important issue that I faced recently is the main heater element that is supposed to cycle on and off to avoid causing very high temperature is not working and it works continuously and I should be careful otherwise my food burns. I hope Kitchenaid service department at least provides me more information about its warranty and how to fix likely infinite switch problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So Disappointed ! Do NOT BUY !! So unhappy buy this 5element ! the auto clean of the oven does not clean anything. I have it since 1 year and it is the worst buy I did in the last decade. The glass of the 5 elements is stained after few drops of pastas water, very difficult to clean... A very very bad investment. I love to cook but with this, it is now impossible to be happy by what we do.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed Just bought this stove; it now sits in the middle of my kitchen. Bought it to replace a dead Jennair due to the downdraft. It is too big for the slot in my countertop; I need to have someone come in a cut the counter top. All different installation of the Jennair; also need to have someone else to come in to install the downdraft system. Did not think would need so much work in changing a stove. Also, I have doubts about the rubber contour of the stove top. This I think is going to be a problem for dirt and germs. Rethinking my purchase and have not even cooked a meal with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointed We replaced a older slide in convection electric stove with what we thought was the same type. It is awful. The aqua clean system is useless. The oven was as dirty when it finished as it was when I started the cleaning process. I don't want to have to get on my hands and knees to scrub the oven clean. The old stove cooktop was easy to keep clean and always looked nice but this one is more difficult to keep clean, scratches more easily and never looks nice. The true fit is useless also. The new stove did not fit the opening we took the old one out of although they said it was the same size. We had to find and purchase the side trim accessory kit to make it fit. Just a disaster stove. Although we have always bought Kitchenaid appliances, we would not recommend this stove and would definitely not buy another Kitchenaid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't even think about buying this I wish I would have found this site before purchasing this range. We moved into a new house Aug 4/16. Since then I've probably used the oven only nine or ten times and I've had to clean it twice. Now when I say clean it, well the first time I had to run the "steam clean" cycle about five times. The last two days I've run it 10 times. Yes, 10 times and used the scrubber in between each cycle. Now I have to say that my oven wasn't even that dirty. I decided to clean it before we have housesitters move in while we are away. It had some greasy spots from when I did a chicken. I am so not impressed with this range especially considering the amount of money I spent purchasing it. In my 61 years this is absolutely the worst ever range that I had. Before moving I had a Whirlpool for the last three years that had a self-cleaning cycle. I don't know why Kitchenaid decided this steam cycle was better because it is NOT. It's the worst way to clean an oven. I only just discovered that one has 60 days to return if they are not satisfied.....well I'm NOT SATISFIED and unfortunately I'm past the 60 day mark. Now I have to try and figure out how to clean the roof of the oven. That should be fun considering the broil heating element is there. If you have any thoughts of buying this range, run away as fast as you can and look at something else. If I could have given zero stars, I would have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so happy We're happy with the looks, the intuitive nature of the controls, the size of the oven, and the speed at which the elements heat up. The keypad needs a frequent wipe due to splatters from the frying pan though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Electric Range -- 700ESS I purchased this range 10 months ago and am extremely unhappy with the product. I live alone and have probably used this range for a total of less than 3 months of use in an average family of four. The control knobs in the front are easily turned on accidentally by pushing up against them. It's happened on several occasions that an element has been turned on without my knowledge and in once case -- the back element was on high for over four hours before I came back to the kitchen and noticed it was on. Had I gone to bed or left the home, I shudder to think that the wall/surrounding surfaces could have caught fire due to the extreme heat. Also, the digital pad control for the oven on the front is a pain as it is constantly beeping at the slightest touch and I have to activitate the 'control lock' feature all the time. It is also a nuisance to keep clean and the glass surface is very difficult to clean and has scratched easily, compared to my previous range that was 15 yrs old. I also miss not having access to an AC outlet on the back of the stove panel. So while the design looks nice, I do not find it very useful and actually find it to be unsafe and do not recommend this for families with children, the elderly, the disabled, shorter individuals, tall individuals -- pretty much anyone. I have purchased other Kitchen Aid appliances (have a great refrigerator) that I enjoy but am extremely unsatisfied with this range. I have also already had to call in a service technician to repair a cooling fan issue. Again, this stove has hardly been used in 10 months. I paid for extended warranty but overall, I am not impressed. I want my money back!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from One size doesn't fit all I just bought this model for my new place. I primarily picked it because of its suppose fit with the counter. They even mention a "FIT warranty" on the page. After receiving the oven, I can assess that the oven Doesn't fit, it goes out by about 5 inches from my counter, which is extremely disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not purchase This is not a self-cleaning oven. The Aqualift self cleaning technology is totally useless. After running the program four times and using the kit provided in between cycles, my oven was still not clean. Please note that my oven was not even that dirty initially. To promote this oven as a self cleaning oven is misleading. Do not spend the money on this,it is not worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed buying this range I bought this range 4 months ago from Tasco and was misled by sales associate about oven AquaLift cleaning system. there was cleaning kit and instruction came with the range. The system is completely useless, it does not even remove slightest spills from the oven interior. I have to clean the oven manually kneeling on the floor and scrape off spills and in addition sponge off the water from bottom of the oven. KitchenAid is aware of the problem but they have not done anything to correct the problem. When using broil, or convection or baking features, hot air coming out of the oven, exterior of oven, the baking ware in the storage drawer and adjacent cabinets become extremely hot to touch. I was told by KitchenAid customer service that I should wear mittens while working around oven to avoid burns. The glass top is also difficult to clean and already has several tiny scratches. I am very disappointed to spend more than $2,300.00 and have a such poor quality range that has caused me so much stress. KitchenAid does not take any responsibility and indicates that all are the range specifications.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from KitchenAid Range Always been a fan of KitchenAid and just moved to a condo and purchased all new appliances. A bit disappointed in range. Takes a lot of muscle to keep the stove top clean. Oven takes a very long time to reach desired temperature. Not happy at all with the steam clean feature. It does not do the job and I was not aware that there was not a proper self-clean feature (my fault I guess and the salesman did not make me aware of this). Otherwise oven seems hot and cooks well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect except for ... This stove is expensive but it functions as the high-end appliance you'd expect. The elements are very hot and heat very quickly - terrific for stirfries or boiling a huge pot of lobster water. Simmers are very low - terrific for roux. The oven keeps correct temperature & is unusually large - enough to hold 2 large casseroles side by side for those big dinner parties. Also the 3 racks have enough space between them for proper cooking on all 3 levels. However, on the negative side - the glass top is frustrating. It just can't be kept looking like new; I spend too much time cleaning it. After only 1 month there are lots of tiny scratches on the non-webbed element circles despite my being extremely careful. My previous KitchenAid stove's coran top looked brand new after 10 years. I don't know if this is a flaw in design or if it was something that needed to happen to permit the glass to heat this hot; if that is true I'd put up with the marked surface for the high functionality. If it weren't for this I'd rate it a 5 star with big smiles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great New Features and Great New Look We received this week this new model and after several times using it, it is more versatile than the previous model we had since 8 years. The 2 new elements that offer more watts than the previous model is a bonus and finally, there is more light in the oven so you can clearly see thru the oven window. In convection mode, the fan is very silent. For now, we are not regretting buying this new model over buying the previous generation that is phasing out. The only minus we have for now is that the element control buttons are now plastic, previously they were metallic.
