Rated 1 out of 5 by from Prior generation fridge has been nightmare We bought the same fridge back in 2012, KFIS29PBMS01. Exact same look, etc. I can't speak to the guts of the machine, but our version has had so many problems since we bought it. Seals were bad, have had replaced 3 times. Adaptor replaced 3 times. Now our freezer is losing temp intermittently. Thank goodness we bought the Extended Service Plan. Unfortunately, the first 4 repairs were done under manufacturer's warranty, which "doesn't count" toward a lemon clause on the Extended policy. Very disappointed with this product, given the expense. The current freezer issue isn't presenting with obvious problem to be repaired, so it's a mystery. Meanwhile, our frozen goods go bad, make a mess, etc. Wish the company would stand behind its product and replace the unit. Very unsatisfied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst appliance ever owned Bought to replace previous 14 year old Kitchenaid side by side in remodel. First unit delivered did not make ice at all. Second unit delivered frosted up, made ice sporadically and leaked water from the icemaker. After no less than 20 service calls over a nine month period and having same parts replaced 2x, (in some cases 3x). The noise of this machine will drive you out of the room. -Any room in the house. Perhaps this was caused by the other issues, but the techs all said it was normal. Never did get the problems solved. We fought with the retailer to have it bought back. They finally agreed to buy it back. Luckily we purchased the extended warranty. Junk. This is supposed to be the top of the line for Kitchenaid?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT VERY GOOD I had this refrigerator for about 2 years now and within the first 15 months the compressor went out. To Kitchenaids credit, because it was so close to the warranty expiration period(the warranty had expired) they went ahead and repaired it at no cost to me. Apparently they had been having a lot of the same problems with this unit. Now the ice maker is starting to malfunction. If you use large bottles, such as wine bottles or 2 liter soda bottles, forget this unit. There is ZERO space for these. It looks nice but is NOT very practical.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I bought this refrigerator two years ago and have had nothing but problems. First of all, we have already had to have a part replaced on the refrigerator last year as the refrigerator stopped cooling. We have had a service guy come out four separate times due to ice buildup in the back of the refrigerator and the ice maker failing to make ice. I often have food spoilage even though I don't open the refrigerator often and even though i have changed the temp settings. The doors do not shut all the way unless you give it a little push with your hand. I got the refrigerator for looks but am not happy with the performance. Where the ice maker is in the door you can see where drip lines have formed on the stainless steel and at the bottom of the fridge, it looks to be rusting. The fact that we invested so much in this refrigerator sickens me. I wish I would have known sooner as I wouldn't have bought this model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from incredibly noisy This fridge was to replace another side by side kitchenaid one they couldn't repair. I thought I was getting one of their top models and want to love it but it is just way too noisy. It is louder than my kitchenaid dishwasher (they are so proud of its decibles- they should apply some of that concern to their fridges). The compressor went after one and a half years and now at three years they want to replace it again to stop the buildup of ice in the top back of the fridge. It didn't fix it last time so don't imagine it will work this time either. Also icedrips form near the front of the icecube maker and drip onto the shelves making everything wet. Shelves are now rusting due to the extra moisture. The icecubes partially melt and water drips inside the door into the door bins and then when you open the door it drips from the bins onto the floor. The fans are what drive us nuts - they whir incredibly loud and never seem to stop. I complained about the noise and they replaced fans but it didn't help. I have had techs come out about 8 times and they have replaced different parts all in attempt to repair the ice buildup and reduce the noise. Can't they fix it? It seems like they literally don't know how. I have called kitchenaid and they just keep telling me my extended warranty will take care of me. But the problems are still not fixed after 3 years. The pitch of the fan is really high - it is soooo irritating. I wish I had never bought this fridge. Kitchenaid needs to stand behind their products better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the lights I have had the fridge for three weeks, and love it! The amount of space, the lights, the freezer space is unbelievable. This is an incredible fridge.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Another Lemon! I have had this product for just over a Month! Lots of things wrong. Very Noisey! I think there are to many "gadgets" and more to go wrong! Bought Kitchenaid before and had no problems. Repairman came and said the same thing, now we are getting a new Fridge (Different Model) to many things wrong to fix. Great looking Fridge though (lol)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from One big lemon My wife and I purchased this almost a year ago, three months prior to moving in to our new home. Our problems started approximately six months later when the freezer started making noise from ice building up in the freezer. It took two weeks to get a tech out to look at it and all he did was melt ice buildup and left after hat visit the freezer made one batch of ice then the freezer stopped working and now the fridge is not keeping things as cool as it should.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New model #, same old problems KitchenAid loves to change the model numbers to hide problems with the old #, but the fridge is the same. We have the repair guy here (again), this time the ice maker stopped and the fridge won't get below ~45 degrees. It's also louder than my dishwasher. Nice to look at, but a terrible fridge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Noisy We bought this refrigerator thinking it is an upgraded model which would operate quietly. is noisier than the 12 year old refrigerator we replaced it with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wishing I didnt own this refrigerator! We have had nothing but problems with this refrigerator starting the first month we had it. We have had it a little over a year now and it has been serviced too many times to even count. They have had to replace almost all the electrical components 4x. My kitchen floor is ruined from water pouring out the icemaker and I have lost everything in my freezer 3x. It is so loud we can hardly hear the tv in the next room. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money 6 service calls within 15 months I am so unhappy that I bought all Kitchen Aid appliances for my kitchen remodel. My new french door refrig had the compressor go out within 3 months of first purchase. This refrig was replaced in August 2014. Since August of 2014 my 2nd new refrig has had 4 services calls. Kitchen Aid is not ... I repeat NOT standing behind the quality of their products. I escalated to KA customer care who said the refrig was a manufactured product and I could expect problems. As a side note both my oven and dishwasher also KA ..within the first year they both also had service calls . I have the facts to back up every comment that is documented here. I am hoping to get some kind of resolution from KA senior management.
